Yosemite

Approching Yosemite, our first great view was of El Capitan. I used the panorama technique I outlined in the Redwoods post to get the four photo's below.

We observed some climbers scaling half dome on our hike to mirror lake. They were too small to see with the naked eye but I was able to capture them with the max zoom on our camera. The first picture shows where they were located on the rock and the second picture is the zoom in.
It was very cold that day and this didn't look like much fun.



here's a couple more photo's of the campsite near Groveland and the town, about 23 miles from the park entrance and our approach. Also we ate at a little Mexican resturant (Cocina Michoacana) in Groveland on our anniversary and it was the best mexican food we've ever experienced. Across the street was the Iron Door Saloon, the oldest operating saloon in California.
