We'll be here for at least a month, it's cheap and close to lots of places we want to explore. There's not much here in the way of services, and we like that. I hike out into the desert almost every day and there's always something new to see. The sunrises, sunsets and cloud formations are always spectacular. We're surrounded by mountains in a little desert valley. We're right inside the east border of the Tohono O'odham Nation reservation. There's lots going on here regarding the Border Patrol and illegal drug traffic, and illegal immigration. You might find the links interesting. There's a group here called Shadow Wolves working the reservation and border area. There's also lots of wildlife here, although you rarely see them. burros, javalina, pronghorn, deer, bobcat, puma, jackrabbit, kangaroo rat, birds, tarantula, scorpions, snakes etc. Janice is looking forward to seeing her first tarantula.
