Well we've found our new home for 14 days here on BLM land near Quartzsite, Az. There are'nt many others out here near Dome Rock. I decided to improve the campsite a little, there's plenty of landscape materials in the wash next to our motorhome. We woke up yesterday morning to a fairly nice day with light winds. I built a little patio area and Janice worked on her beading. In the afternoon we went into Quartzsite for groceries and to look around. The Roadrunner grocery has a nice meat market and just about anything you would need, just a little spendy. We decided to go to Blythe (just 18 miles to the west of here) where there's an Albertsons. The BLM host told us about a great fresh produce market (VanDyke's) just 4 miles south of Blythe so we went there also. It was well worth the trip, we saved $5.00 on the Rum at Albertsons and got a whole 2 bags of produce for $8.00 at VanDykes, they also served fresh vegetable soup samples while we gathered vegi's. Some friends from Hickiwan arrived here also and are camped a few hundred yards up the wash. We're hoping to find some more of their famous memory stones. The wind blew hard last night and this morning it looks like a storm is approaching. Guess Janice and I can go do some more exploring in Quartzsite
and this morning...
