A day of rain and a day of sunshine

Well it was day 7 so we decided to run the motorhome into Quartzsite to recycle the liquids.  There's a very convenient dump station just a 1/4 mile north of the I-10 on 95, $10 for everything.  It was a rainy day so we spent some time exploring the vendors shops and doing laundry.  We returned to our site and Janice worked on her beading and I worked on the broken glider.

the skies finally cleared in the afternoon and cheered us up a little.  Are we spoiled or what?...

We awoke to beautiful sunshine this morning and I decided to take a little hike toward the mountains to the south of us.

Came up on a hill of solid gray slate, it's hard to believe anything could grow on it but the plants were flourishing.

And mining claims staked out all around.  I'll have to check my geocommunicator site http://www.geocommunicator.gov/GeoComm/index.shtm  to see if any are still active.  There are various grades of  quartz all around here.

Looking back toward camp, about 2mi.
The rest of the day I finished the glider and Janice finished her braclet just in time for our rum & cokes.

We had a little visitor today also.
Buenas Noches...
