Jerome to Bullhead

Well were back in Bullhead City. We rented a spot at Silverview RV for a month. Could of windsurfed yesterday, the wind really howled. Unfortunatly I cracked my head on the slideout (again) setting up the motorhome and was recovering. This motorhoming is really dangerous stuff (I don't recommend it).....

The drive from Cottonwood to Jerome and then on to Prescott is not one I would recommend in a motorhome. 89a is a very steep and windy road through Jerome and over the top of Mt Mingus (7000 ft) then dropping into Prescott. Jerome is an interesting old mining town on the side of the mountain. http://www.azjerome.com/

We continued on to Prescott that day then returned to our great little RV spot in Cottonwood at the Rio Verde RV Park. The next day we took 69 to Fort Verde 8mi., then s. on I-17 for 10 mi. , then w. on 269 to Prescott about 25 mi. This is the route I would recommend to get from Cottonwood to Prescott. From Prescott we went n. on 89 to Ash Fork where we picked up the I-40 back through Kingman and on to Bullhead City. We stopped in Seligman on old route 66 and ate at Snow Cap drive in.
